Volunteer Matching
As travelers, we have a responsibility to minimize any negative impact on the environments and communities in which we travel. Beyond reducing our carbon footprint, abiding by local regulations, and supporting local businesses, traveling with purpose can incorporate direct action through donations and volunteer service. Our Volunteer Matching program is designed with a personal touch, giving you the opportunity to make a real difference wherever you go.
Who do we work with?
We work tirelessly to find volunteer opportunities around the world that:
- Are run by locals with missions directed to local initiatives.
- Welcome families, including children.
- Accept travelers on short-term basis.
Our volunteer opportunities are hand-picked to ensure you are serving where is needed. We don’t choose organizations that prescribe “fixes” for a community. Instead, we look for organizations that truly have their fingers on the pulse of a given area. Those are typically locally-based and managed by people who live in the community they serve.
Since certain areas may be lacking in volunteer organizations, we also recommend organizations who accept donations for the goodwill of the community. Check out the map below to see where our partner (personally-vetted organizations) are located. Keep checking back, since our network is always growing.
How does it work?
Whether you are just passing through or staying awhile, we help you find the perfect volunteer opportunity in your chosen destination.
Do you know of a great organization?
We are always looking to build our network of personally-vetted volunteer organizations. If you know of one that fits the values listed above, please let us know. You can fill out the form below to recommend a new volunteer organization. Please provide as much detail as you can. If you have personal experience or POCs, we would love it if you shared that as well.
If you run an organization that you think would fit our Volunteer Matching program, please contact us so we can set up a meeting.
